Getting from Athens Eleftherios Venezelos Airport to Athens by Metro...

Once you're outside you'll come to a street. Look across the street on the somewhere towards the middle of the terminal you will see a covered walkway which is perpendicular to the terminal building(remember, it's across the street so it isn't connected to it). Cross the street and walk towards it. Once you get inside, go the only way you can go. Part of your journey will be on a walking conveyor built(not an escalator because you are going on level ground.

At the end of this building you will come to a set of doors which open up to the metro terminal. Straight in front of you is the ticket office. You purchase the ticket from them and then go through the ticket validators(that's a machine that stamps your ticket), down the escalator or stairs to the left and get on one of the trains that's sitting there(They only go in one direction-to Athens- so you can't get on the wrong one.

And that's it..... You can put your bags on the luggage racks towards the middle of the car and find a comfortable seat. The map of the stops is just above the door, so if you sit facing the door you'll be able to see how you're progressing(and they'll be calling the stops off as you aproach them).... so, now you're off to Athens..... or if you are going to the ferry you'll want to get off at Monisteraki(The Flea Market) and switch to the Pireaus line.
